Historic materials describe HELP Math configurations for upper-elementary and middle-grade mathematics, with additional uses for remediation. The current website publishes context and demo status—not the historical curriculum or lesson prototypes.

The archive includes work across four broad domains. Coverage and sequence vary by historical edition and remain under audit.

Numbers and operations

Place value, number relationships, fractions, decimals, proportional reasoning, and operations represented with language and visual models.

Geometry and measurement

Properties, spatial relationships, units, measurement, and geometric reasoning made visible through diagrams and manipulation.

Patterns and algebraic thinking

Patterns, variables, expressions, equations, and the language used to describe general relationships.

Data and probability

Reading, representing, comparing, and reasoning from data using coordinated graphs, quantities, and explanations.

HELP Math 1.0 historical catalog

What dated 2007–2012 program records described

Multiple legacy records support a Grades 3–8 catalog of 73 lessons: 44 middle-school lessons and 29 elementary lessons. The cards preserve that dated scope and separate it from any future HELP Math 2.0 release.

Grades 6–8 · 44 historical lessons

Four strands: Numbers Make Sense; From ABC to XYZ; Go Figure!; and How Likely! A contemporaneous teacher guide enumerates 12, 12, 12, and 8 named lessons respectively.

The final strand includes four items labeled “Double Lesson.” This helps explain why archival pages describe both 44 comprehensive lessons and four 12-unit series: the sources use different counting conventions.

Grades 3–5 · 29 historical lessons

The legacy catalog described 29 comprehensive upper-elementary lessons. A 2012 scope record names Math Foundations I, II, and III for Grades 3, 4, and 5.

The scope spans numbers, operations, algebraic foundations, geometry, measurement, and data. Exact per-grade lesson counts are omitted because correlation records reflect different editions.

Self-paced multimedia lessons; English/Spanish vocabulary and audio; teacher-controlled bilingual support; read-aloud; visual models; manipulatives; “Need More Help” hints; guided practice; and immediate feedback.

Custom learning paths and lesson assignment; randomized quizzes; automatic scoring; placement and diagnostic assessments; time-on-task monitoring; class and student reports; and Excel export.

These are descriptions of the retired HELP Math 1.0 service. This public website does not provide accounts, assignments, quizzes, dashboards, or progress storage.

The modern site currently offers project information and publication status. It does not provide public lesson demos, full lessons, placement testing, teacher dashboards, class assignments, or student progress storage.

Future curriculum publication depends on source audit, rights review, instructional review, accessibility work, and validation against original behavior.
